Who we are

Config Editor Pro (the app) is made by Nolan Chapman, a sole proprietor based in California, USA (we, us). When you use the app or buy a license, your agreement is with us.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Agreeing to these terms

By downloading, installing or using the app, or by buying a license, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. If you are under 18, you need a parent or guardian to agree to these terms and make the purchase for you.

What you get

Free mode lets you download the app, connect your games, and look at and change settings without applying them.

A Pro license unlocks Apply and every Pro tool in every game the app supports, including games we add later. You pay once. There is no subscription.

We may change the price later, or make the app free. If we do, licenses already bought keep working and are not refunded for the change.

Your license

We give you a personal license to use the app on one PC at a time. You can move your license to a new PC, and it stops working on the old one. You do not own the app; you own a license to use it.

You may not:

• share, sell, rent or publish your license key
• copy, change, reverse engineer or decompile the app, except where the law allows it
• remove or get around the license check
• use the app or our services for anything unlawful, for fraud or spam, or to infringe anyone else’s rights
• probe, scrape, overload or attack our website, license server or other services, or send malware to them

Payment and taxes

The price is shown before you pay. Paddle takes the payment and works out and collects any sales tax or VAT. Paddle’s buyer terms also apply to your purchase.

Refunds

You can get a full refund within 14 days of buying. See our refund policy.

Your games and their rules

The app works by changing your games’ settings files and starting your games. The app does not read or change game memory and does not inject code into games.

We are not affiliated with Electronic Arts, Respawn Entertainment, Valve or any other game publisher. Game names and art belong to their owners. You are responsible for following the rules of the games you play. A game update can change or stop a setting from working.

Your files

The app makes a backup before every Apply and keeps your original files, but you are responsible for your own PC and files. Keep your own backups of anything important.

Updates and availability

We may update the app, add or change features, and add or remove settings when games change. Activating a license needs an internet connection. We do not promise the app or our services will always be available or free of errors.

Ownership

We own the app, the website, the Config Editor name and logo, and everything in them, except game names and art, which belong to their owners.

Turning off a license

We may turn off a license, or stop providing the app to you, if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if a payment is not completed, refunded or charged back, or if we see fraud or a security risk. You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it.

No warranty

The app is provided as is. As far as the law allows, we make no promises about it beyond what these terms say.

Limit of liability

As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect or unforeseeable losses, lost data or lost game progress, and our total responsibility to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the law that cannot be limited.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change matters, we will say so on this site before it applies. Using the app after a change means you accept it.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of California, USA, and disputes go to the courts of Santa Barbara County, unless the law where you live gives you the right to use your local courts.
